Start of Museum week: admission €1
16 - 17 april 2016
From 16 to 24 April 2016 it's National Museum Week. To celebrate this, Museum De Lakenhal presents an extra extensive programme of activities in the first weekend (16 & 17 April). Also, admission to the museum is only €1. Children under 18 enter the museum for free, as is usual in Museum De Lakenhal.

On Saturday and Sunday you're welcome to join the following activities:
1 PM: free tour along the collection highlights.
Start at the entrance.
2 PM: reading on the museum's Restoration and Expansion.
Saturday: Jori Zijlmans (History curator)
Sunday: Bouke Kapteijn (project manager Leiden Municipality)

With on Sunday: 3 PM Rembrandt’s grasp of colour, a reading by David de Witt, curator Museum The RembrandtHouse, on the occasion of RembrandtLAB.

ARTtube mobiel
Until 8 May 2016, the ARTtube Mobile has landed in Museum De Lakenhal. ARTtube is the online videochannel for museums in Holland and Belgium, among which also Museum De Lakenhal. Swipe your way to your personal art video profile, based on the collection. The result: free advice on ARTtube video's to watch at home, suiting your personal interests.

Each year, the Dutch National Museum Association organizes the Museumweek. Following the theme 'ons echte goud' (our true gold), museums throughout the country offer their visitors a special programme to celebrate the rich diversity of Dutch museum culture.
