Unravel sessions
Saturday 24 and 31 August and 7 and 14 September
This summer, Alicia Hoost, Sarah van Lamsweerde and Esther Mugambi are in search of Leiden’s less known stories: the connections between old Leiden textiles and the slave trade. A dark and painful history, which is often not found in books. They would like to hear your stories and unravel them in a creative and healing way: working with textiles and songs. The sessions take place on four Saturdays in the Studio of Museum De Lakenhal. Everyone is welcome! With your participation, you contribute to the participatory art project Majalla’s Cloak, on view in Museum De Lakenhal from 9 November 2024.
