Marlies van Boekel works in her studio at the "Stadsatelier" in the center of Leiden at the Kaasmarkt. She often works on projects using different techniques like video-takes, photography, painting or drawing. Since 2003 she has been fascinated by the movement, colors and reflections of water.
This year she will concentrate on the presentation of photographs of the poetry of the Urban Landscape in reflection. At the end of November in 2023 her book of photographs of the Reflections of the Singelpark in Leiden will be released by publishing house De Muze in Leiden. Several familiar inhabitants will write a text about their experience with the Singelpark.
